July 1 - 6 for those who have completed grades 2 - 5

Have you ever asked the question, why does God feel so far away?  Sometimes we picture God as a distant person who doesn't understand what's going on in our world.  But that just isn't true.  God sent his Son, Jesus, to become a human being and live on our planet.  While he was here he spent every day walking and talking with real people about real people needs and real people dreams and real people problems.  Jesus showed us that God cares about every detail of our lives.  Hebrews 4:15 tells us that Jesus understands exactly what we're going through because he's already lived through it.  God isn't separate from reality.  He created everything that is real, including you, and he wants to have a real relationship with you.
