First Baptist Church offers ministries to children of every age, as well as ministry opportunities for all adults to serve in the different youth areas. For more information about our Youth Ministries call 828-693-3493 or email us.

	Shade - Children's Ministry SHARE Christ with the children of our community leading them to, HONOR God through worship, ADVANCE through discipleship, DISCOVER their spiritual gifts through service and, ENJOY the fellowship of the church family. Shade is for children birth through 5th grade. For more information about the children's ministries contact Marcy.
	Filling Station - Middle School Ministry Filling Station is for the Middle School Youth. They meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm. This is a time of Bible study, prayer, and small group discussions with some games to lighten things up. Drama, mime and praise ministries are included. 	Crave - High School Ministry CRAVE is for the High School Youth. They meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:45 pm.  This is a time of praise music, skits/drama, and Bible study. For more information about the highschool ministry contact Matt.

WE ALSO HAVE:

"DISCIPLE NOW" is an opportunity for young people to study the Word of God as it relates to problems and issues they are confronted with each day. Teens spend the weekend in the home of a host family or at a local camp with youth of their own age led by trained leaders.

CAMPS and RETREATS for Grade School, Middle and High School youth are planned each year. All camps and retreats offer a variety of growth in the Word with programs to supply the youth with exercise in the body and mind.

MISSION TRIPS are conducted each summer for middle and high school groups.  These can range from the beach to the mountains, to Mexico, or on the home front.

BIBLE STUDY groups for high school and middle school youth meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 am and 11:00 am.  Middle school youth meet in the Filling Station (near the gym).  High school youth meet in the Annex building.
